JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING Oct 02, 2009 SK Films and Principal Large Format are very pleased to announce that Bugs! A Rainforest Adventure (Digital 3D - 25 minute version) has won the Best Film - Special Venue award at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival (JHWFF).

The award was accepted last night by Producer Phil Streather in Jackson Hole.

The Special Venue award is for the program created for distribution in a giant screen or immersive environment that best uses its technology and resources to advance an appreciation or understanding of the natural world. The award selection was made by a panel of esteemed peer judges. For many, the JHWFF awards are considered the "Oscars of Wildlife filmmaking". This Special Venue award is a welcome addition to the film's long history of awards and the film's win in Jackson Hole reflects the great natural history storytelling and totally awe-inspiring 3D that was pioneered and used in the production of this film and which was key to the Oscar awarded to Bugs! 3D systems designer Peter Parks.
