  1. Bullet  “Blenheim Palace:The Untold Story” / Viper shoot / edit / vfx

“The Untold Story” -  details the story of 300 years during the life of the palace. We filmed on location at the palace and also here at Pinewood Studios.

Shepperton’s foley department came into their own helping with the recording of the complicated 5.1 surround sound effects, that were so key to the production.

The “green screen” shoot days at Pinewood made use of Rogue Elements Viper cameras along with their S-Two data recorders.

Working seamlessly, instant playback to a 4 metre HD projected screen within the stage itself, allowed us to perfectly align the composited images exactly how they were going to be seen at Blenheim.

With extensive use of the “Pepper’s Ghost” effect throughout the exhibit this workflow gave us peace of mind during the shooting stage.

Ralston worked with Adrian on the Pablo night and day for three long weeks creating 11 finished composited scenes ready for opening day at the palace, but only Just!

“We were synchronising animated manikins and real live actors on set looking into their own reflections that were reversed and played back onto rotated plasma screens cut into mirrors!!!. confused? Well let’s not even go into the life size Pepper Ghost scenes that interacted with live objects during the tour itself.” RH
